Taking Advantage of IVI Simulation in Measurement Studio
PrintModern automated test systems are composed of several complex and high-priced test instruments. This challenges the test system developer to choose instruments and integrate their system without full assurance that it will meet their requirements. This challenge has been addressed by the Interchangeable Virtual Instrument (IVI) Foundation, which is creating specifications for high-performance instrument drivers that provide complete instrument simulation. This session introduces the technical aspects of IVI simulation and demonstrates the steps that are needed to use IVI drivers in order to quickly prototype test systems in LabVIEW or Measurement Studio without relying on the presence of the test hardware.
