Inside LabVIEW - The LabVIEW Execution Engine
This NIWeek 99 presentation explores the internal workings of the LabVIEW execution engine, and includes hints for taking advantage of the engine to optimize the execution of your applications. LabVIEW runs programs (VIs) in a multitasking system in which progress can be made on many tasks in parallel. Because this multitasking is transparent to users, you do not need to understand the "insides" of LabVIEW in order to make good use of it. However, understanding the technology may help you better understand the behavior of your own application.
