Biography:
I have being working in research and development since 1986 when I started my Mechanical Engineering degree at Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). While there, I developed measuring systems primarily in C and Visual Basic. After graduation, I continued working at UFSC doing research with the CERTI Foundation as an engineer. In 1999 I went to LACTEC (www.lactec.org.br), an institute which does research & development primarily in electrical power generation. Working in Mechanical Engineer group, I have been developing measurement and control systems, image processing, and simulation. Our customers are predominantly electrical power generation companies and the automotive industry. Nowadays I'm working on three projects, two as the project leader. We are developing a gas power plant simulator, a prepaid gas meter, and remote monitoring system for gas pipeline.
