Calling all Electronics Educators!

Do you want help teaching tricky circuits concepts? Is there a better way for your students to visualize circuit behavior?

Send your ideas to educator@ni.com and let us help you to create the ultimate teaching instrument!

NI provides free virtual instruments for use with Multisim 10.0 that are designed to help teach difficult concepts. Through the visualization and customizability of LabVIEW, you can extend the power of circuit simulation in the classroom.

For example, the Phasor Diagram Virtual Instrument (available here) can help students intuitively and quickly understand phase angle differences in signals (shown below).

Simply write us a short paragraph describing your ideal teaching aid and how you think it will benefit students, and send it to educator@ni.com. The top submissions will have the opportunity to work with NI Engineers to see their creative ideas come to life in the classroom.

Use Real World Inputs to Drive Simulations

Acquire real world data using NI hardware, and use that data to drive a simulation. Using this instrument you can actually see how real data will affect circuit behavior before going to the lab.

Expression-Based Source

Drag and drop common functions like sine and cosine waves, and over 30 others to build custom expressions that can drive simulations. This instrument will allow you to easily demonstrate how mathematic expressions translate into voltages.
