Using Cursors in LabVIEW SignalExpress
Overview
A cursor is a pointer that can be manually moved along a plot to display the x- and y-coordiantes of individual datapoints from a signal. The following document is an in-depth exploration of the functionality of cursors in LabVIEW SignalExpress software. The topics of cursor creation, use, and customization are illustrated in detail.
Table of Contents
To add a cursor:
Right-click the graph and select Visible Items » Cursors from the shortcut menu. Note that for the cursor option to be enabled, at least one signal must be displayed on the graph.

The cursor legend will appear below the graph display, and two cursors will be shown on the graph. By default, both cursors are associated with the first plot, even if more then one signal is present. This can be changed using the right-click menu.

It is important to note that at this point the right-click menu on the graph has changed to add cursor-specific entries.

To customize a cursor:
Right-click the cursor legend below the graph display and select Cursor Properties... from the shortcut menu, or right-click the graph itself and select Properties from the shortcut menu.
The cursors tab of the Waveform Graph Properties: Viewer dialog box opens. The options available on this page (shown below) will allow you to configure the style and color of the cursors.

To set a cursor to a different plot:
Right-click the cursor legend on the row corresponding to the cursor you would like to move. Then select the signal from the Link to Plot shortcut menu to set the cursor to that signal. The cursor legend then reflects that change by changing the name of the signal in the selected row. You can also set each cursor to Free Dragging mode, which makes the selected cursor not be linked to any plot.
To move cursor location with one click:
Right-click on the location to which you want a cursor to move and select Set Position to move a cursor to that location. This option is only available on the graph's right-click menu since it uses the mouse-click location on the graph.

To hide a cursor:
Right-click the graph and un-select Visible Items » Cursors.
