Troubleshooting the TDM Excel Add-In for Microsoft Excel 2000-2003
What to do if you see the TDM Excel Add-In in the toolbar but it does not work
- Remove the TDM Excel Add-In from the Excel toolbar manually.
- On the Tools menu, click Customize, and then click the Toobar tab.
- Highlight the TDM Importer and click Delete.
- Uninstall the TDM Excel Add-In.
- Install the TDM Excel Add-In again.
What to do if you do not see the TDM Excel Add-In toolbar after installation
If you are using Microsoft Excel 2007 then click here.
If you have installed the TDM Excel Add-In tool and it does not show in Microsoft Excel or it has disappeared from your toolbar then follow the steps below to manually add it to your toolbar:
- Insert the COM ADD-Ins command in the Tools menu.
- On the Tools menu, click Customize, and then click the Commands tab.
- In the Categories box, click Tools.
- Drag COM ADD-Ins from the Commands box to the Tools menu. When the menu commands are displayed, point to the location where you want the COM ADD-Ins command to appear on the menu, and then release the mouse button.
- Click Close.
- On the toolbar, click COM ADD-Ins to display the COM Add-Ins dialog box.
- Click Add..., load the ExcelTDM.dll from the installation directory (C:\Program Files\National Instruments\ExcelTDM\...).
- Click OK, the TDM Excel Add-In is available in the Add-Ins available dialog box. Make sure to check it.
- Click OK, if the TDM Excel Add-In appears, then you are finished. Otherwise, go to Tools and select Customize. Select the Toolbars tab. Make sure TDM Importer is checked.
- The TDM Excel Add-In toolbar appears.
