Benchmarking Data for Streaming with RF and IF Products

Overview

Benchmarking data is very useful when deciding what type of components are needed to meet system requirements. For more complex systems, they may help decide what type of system architecture should be implemented depending on the current and future requirements of the application.

Data streaming has enabled RF and IF instruments to transfer data at faster rates for longer durations. This document contains benchmarks that were conducted with RF and IF instruments performing streaming.

In order to achieve the maximum streaming rate for transferring data to and from disk, the user must keep in mind the techniques discussed in the tutorial “Streaming Data to Disk.” Only by using these techniques can the following data transfer rates be achieved.
