Overview

Module 6 discusses when it is appropriote to use variables within LabVIEW. This module covers local and global variables.

Required Software for Exercises:
• NI LabVIEW 8.5 or later

Sub Module

 

Local Variables, Global Variables, and Race Conditions

Variables are used to pass data when a wire cannot be used.  In this sub module, you will learn how and when to use local and global variables. When variables are used, there is a risk of causing race conditions.  You will learn how they can occur and how to prevent them.


 

Module Exercise

In this exercise you will practice the use of variables within LabVIEW and preventing race conditions.
