Quickly Get Your PXI System Up and Running

NI system assurance programs, the industry’s first assembly and test services for PXI, provide the fastest, easiest way to get your new PXI system up and running. When you receive the system, it is ready to use right out of the box—fully assembled and tested. The hardware is placed in the appropriate slots within the system, and the installation of standard driver sets and application development environments, such as NI TestStand, LabVIEW, and LabWindows™/CVI, is complete as well. To ensure a full understanding of how the system was put together, NI provides custom documentation including a getting started guide, a maintenance plan, and calibration certificates. With these programs, you are able to take advantage of an extended warranty and calibration services that cover your system for up to five years.

Take Advantage of NI Tools to Initialize and Configure the System

NI understands that when configuring a PXI system, minimizing the time it takes to set up, configure, and initialize the system is important. Because of this, NI has software tools that you can use to quickly and easily configure and initialize your system.

To assist system integrators with the initialization process, the manufacturers of PXI and PXI Express chassis and system modules must document the capabilities of their products. Regardless of which chassis you use, NI Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) software simplifies system configuration and initialization. For most NI chassis with eight or more slots, NI MAX automatically identifies and configures these chassis using NI PXI Platform Services software, which is software specifically written to simplify the initialization process. All you need to do is identify the system controller in NI MAX to complete the configuration files. With the NI PXI Express chassis and NI PXI Platform Services, the system is automatically configured and the configuration file is generated when the chassis is powered on.

Access Multiple Training Courses to Build Expertise and Knowledge

NI training is designed to help you get started and achieve success as quickly as possible using NI products. From basic data acquisition and instrument control to advanced RF application development, NI offers more than a dozen courses to ensure your success with NI PXI hardware. With NI training courses, you learn recommended techniques to reduce development time and improve application performance and scalability. In a recent survey, customers reported 66 percent faster learning, 50 percent quicker development, and 43 percent less maintenance after taking NI training courses. Through NI training courses, you interact with experienced certified instructors in various formats such as online, self-paced, or classroom settings. The NI training program delivers the fastest, most certain route to increased productivity with NI tools.

Ensure Accurate Measurements and Extended Warranty of Hardware

NI strives to achieve a high level of quality in every test, measurement, and automation product it sells. Before a device leaves the factory, it undergoes rigorous testing and inspection because NI believes in its commitment to quality. However, test and measurement equipment sometimes needs repair. For this reason, NI warranty and repair services are designed to protect your investment, fix your maintenance costs, and minimize unexpected, costly downtime. To meet the life-cycle requirements of your project, NI offers options for extending the standard product warranty of the devices in your system. Extended warranties from NI give you the ability to fix your hardware maintenance costs for two or more years at a low cost and to avoid the complications of unexpected expenses in the future.

The accuracy of the electronic components used in all instruments naturally drifts over time. Therefore, you need to calibrate instruments at regular intervals as defined by the manufacturer. Calibration quantifies and improves the measurement performance of an instrument. The benefits of maintaining properly calibrated equipment include reduced measurement errors, consistency between measurements, increased production yields, and the assurance of accurate measurements. To help you meet your calibration needs, NI provides calibration support and services including manual calibration procedures, services to calibrate your products, and automated calibration software specifically designed for use by metrology laboratories.
