This tutorial will demonstrate how to use Pro/E Mechanica to export an .STL file that will be suitable for video synchronization in DIAdem's VIEW panel. The two supported file types for DIAdem video synchronization are .STL and .WRL (aka VRML) files, but in this tutorial we are going to be using because the export process is simplified with .STL.

1. After your Pro/E Mechanica project is loaded, go to File>>Save a Copy...

2. Next, from the Save a Copy dialog, enter a name for the exported file and change the Type to STL (*.stl)

'

3. Finally, under the Deviation Control option within the Export STL dialog, change the Chord Height and Angle Control to change where the placement of nodes will be shown in DIAdem and click OK.
