Use the Compiler for Release Configuration dialog box to view and modify the list of external compiler configurations in the Build Options dialog box Active Compiler option. You can create multiple configurations for the same compiler, each with a unique set of options. Click the button to the right of the Active Compiler option to open the Compiler for Release Configuration dialog box.

Use the following options to view and modify the list of available compiler configurations:

  • Available Configurations—Contains a list of the external compiler configurations that are available in the Build Options dialog box Active Compiler option.

    The following icons indicate configuration status:
    This icon indicates that there are no known problems with the external compiler for the specified configuration.
    This icon indicates that the external compiler cannot be found. The specified compiler or environment batch file paths may be incorrect.
    This icon indicates that the external compiler for the specified configuration does not match the current compatible compiler specified in the Build Options dialog box.
  • New—Opens the New Configuration dialog box, which you can use to create a new .ecc file. LabWindows/CVI adds the configuration stored in the new .ecc file to the Available Configurations list.
  • Load—Opens a file selection dialog box, which you can use to select an existing .ecc file. LabWindows/CVI adds the configuration stored in the .ecc file you select to the Available Configurations list.
  • Remove—Removes the currently selected compiler configuration from the Available Configurations list. The corresponding .ecc file remains on the computer.
  • Edit—Opens the Compiler Setup dialog box for the currently selected compiler configuration. Use the Compiler Setup dialog box to view and modify the configuration name, optimization level, warning level, and other configuration options. You also can double-click a name in the Available Configurations list to open the Compiler Setup dialog box.
