In the Create New I/O Server dialog box, select DataSet Marking from the I/O Server Type list and click the Continue button to display this dialog box.
Use this dialog box to create and configure a data set I/O server.
 | You can configure a data set marking I/O server only if the library from which you create the I/O server contains a shared variable. |
This dialog box contains the following options:
- Definition—Contains the following options:
- DataSet name—Displays the configured data set name.
- DataSet ID—Specifies the shared variable to use as a data set reference. When the start condition of the data set is met, LabVIEW uses the value of this shared variable to identify the data set.
- Browse—Displays the Browse Shared Variables dialog box, from which you can select a shared variable to use as a shared variable ID reference.
- Filter DataSet ID on—Filters the list of shared variables in the DataSet ID pull-down list based on whether you want to view String, Analog, or String & Analog shared variables.
- Description—Allows you to enter information about the data set.
- Start when—Specifies the condition to use to start the data set.
- SV—Allows you to select the shared variable to use to determine if the start or end condition has been met. Certain conditions, such as ID Value Changes and Time of Day, do not require the use of a shared variable.
- Limit—Provides the value that the double shared variable must match for the start condition to be met.
- Value—Provides the value that the string shared variable must match for the start condition to be met.
- Start Time (HH:MM:SS)—Specifies the time of day, in the format HH::MM::SS, when you want the data set to start. The valid range is 00:00:00 to 23:59:59.
- Browse—Opens a dialog box from which you can select start or end shared variables from other process files or currently running processes.
- End when—Specifies the condition to use to end the data set.
- SV—Allows you to select the shared variable to use to determine if the start or end condition has been met. Certain conditions, such as ID Value Changes and Time of Day, do not require the use of a shared variable.
- Limit—Provides the value that the double shared variable must match for the end condition to be met.
- Value—Provides the value that the string shared variable must match for the end condition to be met.
- End Time (HH:MM:SS)—Specifies the time of day, in the format HH::MM::SS, when you want the data set to end. The valid range is 00:00:00 to 23:59:59.
- Browse—Opens a dialog box from which you can select start or end shared variables from other process files or currently running processes.
- Shared Variables—Contains the following options:
- Current Selected Shared Variables—Displays the network-published shared variables that you want to add to the data set. You can select shared variables using the Add Shared Variables dialog box, accessible by clicking the Add Shared Variables button.
- Add Shared Variable—Displays the Add Shared Variable dialog box from which you can add a shared variable to include in the data set. You also can access this dialog box if by selecting Edit»Add.
- Remove Shared Variable—Removes the currently selected shared variable from the data set.
- Advanced—Contains the following options:
- Equipment List—Displays the names of the equipment and corresponding descriptions for the equipment used in the data set.
- Add Equipment—Displays the Add Equipment dialog box from which you can select equipment and write a description for the equipment to add to the data set. You also can access this dialog box if by selecting Edit»Add.
- Remove Equipment—Removes the currently selected equipment name and description from the data set.
