Initial Value Page (DSC Module)

Select the Initial Value option in the listbox of the Shared Variable Properties dialog box to display this page. Use this page to set a value for the shared variable when the Shared Variable Engine starts. If a shared variable has an initial value and is connected to a source with a known value, the shared variable value is the value of the source. If the source value is unknown, the shared variable value is the initial value you configure on this page.

Note  You can set an initial value only for network-published shared variables.

This page includes the following options:

  • Enable Initial Value—Allows the shared variable to have an initial value.
  • Initial Value—Sets the shared variable value to the value you specify.
