Complete the following steps to use the Multiple Variable Editor window to generate multiple shared variables simultaneously.
- Select Tools»Shared Variable»Multiple Variable Editor to open the Multiple Variable Editor window.
- If you have an existing project library to which you want to add shared variables, select File»Open Project Library to launch the Browse Library dialog box.
- If you want to create a new project library to which you want to add shared variables, select File»New Library to create a new library.
- Select Edit»Create Bindings to launch the Create Bound Variables dialog box.
- Use the Browse Source pull-down list to determine where the data source of the shared variable is.
- Navigate to an NI-PSP data item on the Network or in a specific Project.
- Select the shared variables you want to add to the current project library and click the Add button.
- Click the OK button to close the Created Bound Variables dialog box.
- Notice how the shared variables appear in the Spreadsheet table.
- Select a shared variable in the Spreadsheet table to view or change the configuration of each shared variable by using the options in the Category list.
- Select File»Save to save the changes to the project library.
- Click the Apply button. The shared variables now appear in the Project Explorer window under the project library you selected.
