Use the Write Trace Break VI to insert a data break into a Citadel trace. When you display Citadel data in a graph, the LabVIEW DSC Module does not draw a line between two points separated by a data break. Complete the following steps to insert a data break.

1. Place the Write Trace Break VI on the block diagram.
   
   
2. Wire the trace reference output of the Open Trace VI into the trace reference input of the Write Trace Break VI.

Note  If you close and then reopen a trace, the DSC Module automatically inserts a data break into the data stream, as if you had used the Write Trace Break VI.
