Use the Real-Time VIs to build deterministic applications using LabVIEW.
The VIs on this palette can return general LabVIEW error codes.

| Real-Time FIFO Functions | Use the Real-Time FIFO functions to send and receive data deterministically between VIs. RT FIFO functions provide a deterministic data transfer method that does not add jitter to a time-critical VI. An RT FIFO is a lossy form of communication that overwrites the oldest data element when the FIFO is full. |
| Real-Time Shared Memory VIs | Use the Real-Time Shared Memory VIs with the RT target running on the RTX subsystem. |
| Real-Time Timing VIs | Use the Real-Time Timing VIs to control the timing of loops in VIs running on an RT target. |
| Real-Time Utilities VIs | Use the Real-Time Utilities VIs to output debug strings, control LEDs, return information, read switches, reboot, and set the date or time of RT targets. |
