LabVIEW Real-Time Module Platforms (RT Module)
National Instruments designed the LabVIEW Real-Time Module to execute VIs on two different real-time platforms. The Real-Time Module can execute VIs on hardware targets running the real-time operating system (RTOS) of the Ardence Phar Lap Embedded Tool Suite or Wind River VxWorks.
Ardence Phar Lap ETS and Wind River VxWorks provide an RTOS that runs on NI RT Series hardware to enable deterministic behavior and extended reliability.
The Real-Time Module platforms do not support some LabVIEW features for VIs that run on ETS and VxWorks targets.
