Use the Real-Time VIs to build deterministic applications using LabVIEW.

The VIs on this palette can return general LabVIEW error codes.

Subpalette	Description
Real-Time FIFO Functions	Use the Real-Time FIFO functions to send and receive data deterministically between VIs. RT FIFO functions provide a deterministic data transfer method that does not add jitter to a time-critical VI. An RT FIFO is a lossy form of communication that overwrites the oldest data element when the FIFO is full.
Real-Time Timing VIs	Use the Real-Time Timing VIs to control the timing of loops in VIs running on an RT target.
Real-Time Utilities VIs	Use the Real-Time Utilities VIs to output debug strings, control LEDs, return information, read switches, reboot, and set the date or time of RT targets.
Real-Time Watchdog VIs	Use the Real-Time Watchdog VIs to monitor and control networked RT Series devices.
Time-Triggered Network VIs	Use the Time-Triggered Network VIs to control timed structures with timing sources from a time-triggered network and to handle time-triggered network errors.
