From the Category list of the Real-Time Application Properties dialog box, click Source File Settings to display this page.

Use this page to edit settings and destination directories for the files and folders included in a stand-alone real-time application.

This page includes the following components:

  • Project Files—Displays the tree view of items under the RT target of the Project Explorer window.
  • Inclusion Type—Appears if you select a VI in the Project Files tree. Specifies whether you want to include the VI as a startup VI, a dynamic VI you can call through the VI Server, or a file included in the real-time stand-alone application only if referenced.
  • Set destination for all contained items—Appears if you select a folder in the Project Files tree. Place a checkmark in the checkbox if you want to include all the items in the folder in the real-time stand-alone application or to set the destination directory on the RT target for all the items in the folder. The destination directory options in the Destination pull-down menu correspond to the directories in the Destinations listbox on the Destinations page of the Real-Time Application Properties dialog box.
  • Destination—Appears if you select a VI in the Project Files tree. Specifies if you want to include the VI in the stand-alone real-time application or if you want to set a destination directory for the VI on the RT target. The destination directory options in the Destination pull-down menu correspond to the directories in the Destinations listbox on the Destinations page of the Real-Time Application Properties dialog box.
  • Set VI properties for all contained items—Appears when you select a folder in the Project Files tree. Place a checkmark in the checkbox if you want to set the VI properties for the items in the selected folder. When you place a checkmark in the checkbox, the Customize VI Properties button activates.
  • Customize VI Properties—Displays the VI Properties dialog box. Use the dialog box to specify the properties for the selected VI. By default, LabVIEW uses the property settings configured in the VI. Any settings you configure in the VI Properties dialog box override any settings you configured in the Customize Window Appearance dialog box.

LabVIEW dims this option for items other than VIs.

  • Set save settings for all contained items—Appears when you select a folder in the Project Files tree. Place a checkmark in the checkbox if you want to set the save settings for the items in the selected folder.

  • Use default save settings—Saves the VIs using default save settings. The default save setting for VIs is to remove the front panel and the block diagram. Remove the checkmark from the Use default save settings checkbox to change the default settings.

    • Remove front panel—Removes the front panel from the build. LabVIEW enables this option if you remove the checkmark from the Use default save settings checkbox.

    • Remove block diagram—Removes the block diagram from the build. LabVIEW enables this option if you remove the checkmark from the Use default save settings checkbox.

  • Set password for all contained items—Appears when you select a folder in the Project Files tree. Place a checkmark in the checkbox if you want to configure the password for the items in the selected folder.

When you place a checkmark in the checkbox, the radio buttons activate.

  • No password change—Leaves the password for the VI in its current state. This option is available only if you select the Changed VIs, Development Distribution, or Custom Save options.
  • Remove password—Removes the password you previously applied to a VI or library.

Prior to removing the password, LabVIEW prompts you to enter the current password during the build.

  • Apply new password—Saves the VI and prompts you for a new password. You must provide the password to modify the password-protected VI. You also can apply a password to a VI without saving it. This option is not available if you select the Save for Previous or Template option.
  • Apply prefix to all contained items—Appears when you select a folder in the Project Files tree. Renames all items in the folder by applying a prefix to the existing name.

  • Rename this file in the build—Renames the selected file. Enter the new name of the file in the text box.
