Requires: RT Module

This page is only available when you open a shipping example with a .lvproj file extension and you are not connected to an RT target. In this case, LabVIEW creates a generic target with an IP address of (0.0.0.0). Right click the generic RT target and select Properties to display the Real-Time Target Properties dialog box. Select OS and CPU Configuration from the Category list to display this page.

If you plan to build an executable file based on the shipping example without connecting to an RT target, use this page to specify the OS and CPU of the RT target that will run the executable file.

Note  If you connect to an RT target before building an executable file, LabVIEW automatically detects the target's OS and CPU type.

This page includes the following components:

  • Target OS—Specifies the OS installed on the RT target that will run the executable file.
  • Target CPU—Specifies the CPU type (x86 or PowerPC) for the RT target that will run the executable file.
Note  Refer to the RT target documentation for information about the target's OS and CPU type.
