Use the LabVIEW Application Builder to build a stand-alone real-time application that you can deploy to an RT target from the Project Explorer window or from outside of the LabVIEW development environment. Use the following table to determine which deployment method is appropriate for your application:

Note  After you deploy a stand-alone real-time application, you can debug the application from a remote host computer.
Use Case Method
You are developing a stand-alone real-time application that you will deploy to a small number of targets. You do not plan to update the application or its dependencies. Deploy from the Project Explorer window.
You need to deploy a stand-alone real-time application programmatically to one or more targets. Deploy from outside of the LabVIEW development environment.
You are developing a stand-alone real-time application, and you will give that application to someone else to deploy.
You need to deploy a stand-alone real-time application in an environment where you do not have access to LabVIEW, such as a factory floor.
You plan to update a stand-alone real-time application in the future to use upgraded versions of its dependencies. For example, the current version of your application uses NI-DAQmx, you plan to upgrade your application to leverage features available in newer versions of NI-DAQmx, and you want to ensure that your application always gets deployed alongside the correct version of NI-DAQmx.
