Phone VIs (PDA Module)
Owning Palette: Protocols VIs and Functions
Use the Phone VIs to communicate from phone-enabled PDA devices.
You must have one of the following PDA devices to use the Phone VIs:
- Phone-enabled Pocket PC device running Windows Mobile 2003 software for Pocket PC Phone Edition or later
- Phone-enabled Palm OS Treo 600 device and later
The phone-enabled PDA device you are communicating with must be connected to a cellular network. The VIs on this palette return specific phone error codes.
| Palette Object | Description |
|---|---|
| Dial | Dials a telephone number from a PDA application. |
| Disconnect | Disconnects a telephone call that you establish using the Dial VI. |
| Get Device Phone Number | Returns the telephone number of the PDA device. |
| Request Make Call | Requests the establishment of a voice call on a phone-enabled PDA device. The operating system call management application is responsible for establishing and controlling the voice call on behalf of the PDA application. |
