String Controls and Indicators (PDA Module, Touch Panel Module)
String controls can have a caption and a label. A string can be a single line or multiple lines.
PDA and Touch Panel VIs support the following display modes for string controls:
PDA and Touch Panel VIs support all types of display for string indicators, which includes the following:
Using Password Display
Because of Windows Mobile and Pocket PC OS limitations, string controls in PDA or Touch Panel VIs do not support the following if you use password display:
- Scroll bars
- Multiline input
- Using a Property Node with the Display Style property to set the display style
- Using a Property Node with the Limit to Single Line? property to change the multiline option

Note The Limit To Single Line? property removes the scroll bars but does not limit the text to a single line when you use this property in a PDA or Touch Panel VI. |
