Complete the following steps to configure the x86 Pocket PC 2003 emulator for debugging.

1. Right-click the POCKET PC 2003 Emulator target in the Project Explorer window and select Properties from the shortcut menu.
2. Click the Launch Windows CE Platform Manager Configuration button to launch the Windows CE Platform Manager.
3. Under the POCKET PC 2003 platform, select Pocket PC 2003 Emulator.
4. Click the Properties button.
5. In the dialog box that appears, the Startup Server should be Emulator Startup Server. Click the Configure button.
6. Under the Communication group, select VirtualSwitch for Ethernet and click the OK button.
7. In the Device Properties dialog box, click the Test button to launch the emulator.
8. When the emulator launches, click the (Windows icon)»Settings button.
9. Click the Connections tab and click the Connections icon.
10. In the Connections dialog box, click the Advanced tab.
11. Click the Network Card button.
12. Under the My network card connects to pull-down menu, select The Internet.
13. Close the emulator window. Select Save emulator state to save the settings.
