Configures the output resistance that the device attempts to generate for the specified channel or channels. The channel must be enabled for the specified output resistance to take effect.

Refer to the niDCPower Configure Output Enabled VI for more information about enabling the output channel.

For NI PXIe-4141/4143/4145 devices, output resistance is only supported if the output function of the channel is set to DC Voltage using the niDCPower Configure Output Function VI.

For PXIe-4135, NI PXIe-4137, and NI PXIe-4139 devices, output resistance is supported if the output function of the channel is set to DC Current or DC Voltage using the niDCPower Configure Output Function VI.

The device actively regulates the current and voltage to reach the specified output resistance, although in DC Voltage output mode, the voltage at the output experiences a "virtual drop" that is proportional to its current.

Note  This VI is not supported by all devices. Refer to Supported VIs by Device for information about supported devices.

instrument handle identifies a particular instrument session. instrument handle is obtained from the niDCPower Initialize With Channels VI.

channel name specifies to which output channel(s) to apply this configuration value. Specify multiple channels by using a channel list or a channel range. A channel list is a comma (,) separated sequence of channel names (for example, 0,2 specifies channels 0 and 2). A channel range is a lower bound channel followed by a hyphen (-) or colon (:) followed by an upper bound channel (for example, 0-2 specifies channels 0, 1, and 2). In the Running state, multiple output channel configurations are performed sequentially based on the order specified in this parameter.

resistance specifies the output resistance, in ohms, for the specified channel. For more information about configuring output resistance, refer to the topic on output resistance for your device.

error in (no error) describes error conditions that occur before this node runs. This input provides standard error in functionality.

status is TRUE (X) if an error occurred before this VI ran or FALSE (checkmark) to indicate a warning or that no error occurred before this VI ran. The default is FALSE.

code is the error or warning code. The default is 0. If status is TRUE, code is a non-zero error code. If status is FALSE, code is 0 or a warning code.
