Use this dialog box to specify whether the installed 32-bit version of DIAdem is to be compatible with earlier DIAdem versions. Only modify the default settings if you use old scripts that do not run smoothly.

Version Specifies which DIAdem version the settings are compatible to. If you use scripts from earlier DIAdem versions, select the associated version.
Apply Enters the recommended settings of the selected DIAdem version into the column Your Settings.
Recommended settings The settings which support the selected DIAdem version are ticked.
Your Settings The settings which support the installed DIAdem version are ticked. You can enable further settings or disable existing settings. Use Settings»Save As to save the selected settings in the desktop file.
Dynamic channel managementSpecifies whether DIAdem manages the data area dynamically, instead of generating a static data area. DIAdem 2010 and later versions will only use dynamic channel management. If you want to use static channel management in scripts, for example, to access channels, which have not yet been created, via the channel numbers, you must adapt these scripts. For example, you cannot use the commands ChD or ChDX to access the channel number of a non-existent channel. You use the method Add for Channels in scripts to create new channel.
Overwrite channel names in calculations Specifies whether DIAdem overwrites existing channel names with calculation operations.
No separators in unique channel names and group namesSpecifies which character DIAdem uses to append an index number to a name, when you assign the name of an existing channel or channel group to a channel or to a channel group. You can select other separators in the General settings dialog box.
Keep base name when name conflict occursSpecifies whether DIAdem keeps the base name when two names conflict.
Do not use NoValue substitute valueSpecifies the value for NoValues.
Convert waveform channel to channel pair during loadingSpecifies how DIAdem loads waveform channels into the Data Portal.
Report Wizard can generate index channelsSpecifies whether the Report Wizard is compatible to DIAdem 9.1 or earlier versions, and can therefore create index channels.
Time axis scaling does not interpret "/" as a control characterSpecifies that DIAdem does not interpret the slash (/) as a control character in time axis scales. Use the character NRF instead to display a label with 2 lines for a 2D axis in the time format. Refer to the page on Formatting Text for more information.
VBS syntax in Calculator Specifies whether DIAdem uses VBS syntax or AUT syntax in the Calculator.
Use improved FFT algorithmSpecifies whether DIAdem uses the improved FFT algorithm. Only use the older FFT algorithms if you want to compare your results with earlier data. The functions ChnFFT1, ChnFFT2, and ChnInverseFFT including the related dialog boxes FFT with one time signal, FFT with two time signals, and Inverse FFT are affected by these changes.
Channel custom properties for ANALYSIS single value resultsSpecifies whether DIAdem ANALYSIS saves the single value results as custom properties of the channel.
Neutral result channel names in ANALYSISSpecifies whether DIAdem uses language independent names for the ANALYSIS result channels. If the names are language independent, the name does not have to be in the same language as the DIAdem interface.
Paths behave same as up to DIAdem 10.1Specifies whether DIAdem uses the path behavior that DIAdem used up to version 10.1. In this path behavior DIAdem used a separate path for each panel and synchronized the load paths and the write paths. When you select this setting, DIAdem displays an additional option in the Set DIAdem Paths dialog box.
No proprietary objects in REPORT text objectsSpecifies which of the special capabilities of the REPORT text object you can use. If you disable this setting, DIAdem might not be able to load layouts with this text object in future DIAdem versions.
Hide Register Properties and Data Set CommentsSpecifies whether DIAdem hides the register properties (RegisterTxt1 to RegisterTxt3, RegisterInt1 to RegisterInt6, RegisterVal1 to RegisterVal6) of the data set level, channel group level, and channel level, on the portal surface. You can still use the tab properties in scripts and layouts.
The Data Portal also suppresses the entry Data Set Comments in the context menu of the data set.
3D autoscaling same as up to DIAdem 10.2 Specifies whether DIAdem scales 3D axes the same as up to version 10.2, if DIAdem is set to autoscaling. Up to version 10.2 DIAdem rounded the axes in autoscaling so that the axis beginning and the axis end were on the axis ticks. This creates an area at the edge of the 3D display where DIAdem does not plot data. From Version 11 DIAdem does not round the data for autoscaling to the next tick. Therefore DIAdem generally does not plot ticks at the beginning and the end of axes.
Error in the formula calculation creates Novalue Specifies whether DIAdem terminates the calculation when an error occurs in the Calculation Manager, the Calculator, or the Calculate command, during the calculation. If the setting is enabled, DIAdem does not abort the calculation with an error but returns the result value NoValue.
Always load bulk dataSpecifies the loading behavior of DIAdem when loading TDM files, TDMS files, and all DataPlugin files in TDM format, which you can register in DIAdem and which contain long numerical channels. Refer to the Help page Loading Bulk Data - General for further information.
Save Register PropertiesSpecifies whether DIAdem only saves the register properties (RegisterTxt1 to RegisterTxt3, RegisterInt1 to RegisterInt6, RegisterVal1 to RegisterVal6) of a data set, a channel group, or channel if they deviate from the default value.
REPORT channel references refer to the structure view of the Data Portal Specifies whether DIAdem uses the order of the Data Portal when assigning channels in DIAdem REPORT. DIAdem only uses this setting if you do not use any group references in the channel references or if they are ambiguous, and you have assigned more than one channel to a curve. If you enable this setting and do not specify a group name in the channel references or if you use wildcards, DIAdem REPORT only displays the channel pairs that belong to the channel group. If you enable this setting, DIAdem includes the group relation of the expanding channels in the Curve expansion and only displays the channel pairs in the expanding mode that belong to the same channel group.
Use Underscore as Separator for the Inheritance of PropertiesSpecifies whether DIAdem uses the underscore or the tilde as the separator for the inheritance of properties.
