Use 3D models to display data as color shading or as deformation on a 3D model of the test object. To load a 3D model, to connect points of the model to data channels, and to then animate the 3D model complete the following steps:
Select DIAdem VIEW.
Select Assigned Worksheet Partitions»3D Model/2D-Axis System.
Double-click the top area.
Click the ... button.
Select the 3D model Beam.wrl from the user folder.
Open the DIAdem NAVIGATOR.
Drag and drop the Example.tdm data set from the user folder in the file browser to the root of the Data Portal to load the data related to the 3D-model.
Open DIAdem VIEW.
Click anywhere in the area and drag the area vertically down to enlarge the 3D-model.
Activate the Data Portal.
Select the Temperature_1 channel and drag the channel onto a point of the 3D-model. The cursor receives a small plus sign.
Release the mouse button and select Coloring from the context menu that opens.
Use the same method to assign other channels to the various points of the model.
Select the Room temperatures channel group and drag and drop this channel group onto the 2D axis system.
Select Go to Start on the toolbar to set the cursor to the start of the animation.
Click Start on the toolbar to start the animation. DIAdem displays the current channel values with the cursor in the 2D axis system and displays simultaneously the respective coloring in the 3D model.
