Specifies in user dialog boxes the background color of a control in an extended table. Use the automatic setting if you want the background color to correspond to the color settings for the operating system. Click BackColor in the Properties tab to open the color selection dialog box. The color selection dialog box offers a basic palette of colors and the option to define more colors.

Use a RGB value or a VBS color constant to specify the color.

Note Use the VBS function RGB to calculate the RGB color value of colors, based on the proportions of the colors red, green, and blue.

The following example uses the VBS color constant vbBlue to specify the background color for the textbox:

EditBox1.BackColor = vbBlue

The following example uses the RGB function to specify the background color for the textbox:

EditBox1.BackColor = RGB(0,0,255)

Use

You can change this property in the Cell Type dialog box when you create extended tables in user dialog boxes.
You can use this property in scripts during user dialog box runtime.
