Types of licenses you can add to your volume license agreement. The license model types are described in the following table:

License Models Description
Named-User A license model attached to a single user, who can install the software on up to three work computers while using the software on one computer at a time. Named-user is the most common model.
Named-User Managed Concurrent A license model where software is used by an unlimited number of users, as long as X instances of the software are in use at a given time, where X equals the number of concurrent seats purchased.
Computer-Based A license model attached to a single computer with unlimited users. This license model is used typically for manufacturing floors or other areas where people share computers.
Computer-Based Managed Concurrent A license model where software is installed on an unlimited number of computers, as long as X instances of the software are in use at a given time, where X equals the number of concurrent seats purchased.
Unmanaged Concurrent Unmanaged concurrent licenses are unrestricted. This type of license is not client-based and does not have client permissions in NI VLM.
