Injects the number of zero amplitude data elements you specify to the start of the input frame of data.

Note  Use the Sample Delay VI if you do not need to change the amount of delay while the VI executes.

Details  

input signal is the signal to delay.
sample delay is the number of samples by which to delay input signal. sample delay must be greater than or equal to 0. The default it 0, which means no delay.
max delay is the maximum number of samples that can delay the input signal.
delayed output is the delayed signal.

Variable Delay Details

The Variable Delay VI provides continuous operation because the subsequent frame of data does not lose any of the delayed samples from the previous frame. The value of sample delay is applied to the first frame of data. You can adjust sample delay up to the value of max delay while the algorithm executes for subsequent frames.
