Checking Memory Usage on a DSP Target (DSP Module)

You can check the amount of memory a DSP application uses while the application is running on the DSP target. Right-click the DSP target in the Project Explorer window while a DSP application is running on the target and select Utilities»Target Information from the shortcut menu to display the Target Information dialog box.

The Target Information dialog box contains the following components.

  • Target name—Displays the DSP target name as the name appears in the Project Explorer window.
  • Target type—Displays the type of target running the DSP application. The DSP Module supports the following devices:
    • 6416 DSK
    • 6711 DSK
    • 6713 DSK
    • SPEEDY-33
  • Device number(SPEEDY-33) Displays the identification number for the SPEEDY-33 device that is running the DSP application.
  • Memory usage—Displays the percentage of memory on the DSP target that the DSP application is using.
Note  You cannot open the Target Information dialog box unless you have an active connection between LabVIEW and the DSP target.
