You can run the same or different applications simultaneously on multiple targets including Windows and supported DSP targets. For example, you can run an application under the My Computer target at the same time you run an application under a DSP target.

(SPEEDY-33) If you have more than one SPEEDY-33 device, you can connect multiple SPEEDY-33 devices to the same host computer and simultaneously run DSP applications on different SPEEDY-33 targets.

Note  (6416 DSK, 6713 DSK)  You cannot run applications on the 6416 DSK and 6713 DSK targets simultaneously because of hardware driver limitations.

Setting Up the Project to Run DSP Applications on Multiple SPEEDY-33 Targets

Complete the following steps to set up the project settings so that you can run DSP applications on multiple SPEEDY-33 targets.

  1. Add a SPEEDY-33 target to the project for each SPEEDY-33 target you want to run an application on.
  2. Right-click a SPEEDY-33 target in the Project Explorer window and select Properties from the shortcut menu to open the DSP Target Properties dialog box.
  3. Enter the number of the DSP device in the Device number text box and click the OK button.
Note  The SPEEDY-33 driver determines which device number corresponds to each SPEEDY-33 target plugged into a USB port. When you plug in all the SPEEDY-33 targets, the SPEEDY-33 driver determines the device numbers and the device numbers do not change. However, the device numbers can change if you unplug and replug a SPEEDY-33 target.
  4. Repeat step 3 for each SPEEDY-33 target until all SPEEDY-33 targets have unique device numbers.
Tip  You can run a basic test on the SPEEDY-33 targets to determine which device number corresponds to each SPEEDY-33 device.
