DSP Module 2.5 Features and Changes

General
- New controls for the DSP Module—Add the functionality of graph displays, keyboard input, or MIDI to VIs that target a DSP device.
- LabVIEW Lesson Manager—Provides a way to organize and present custom example VIs to students in a lab situation. Refer to the Customizing and Using the LabVIEW Lesson Manager for more information about creating a lesson manager for LabVIEW.
Upgrading to the DSP Module 2.5 from the DSP Module 1.0
- Because the DSP Module 1.0 uses LabVIEW 7.1, read the LabVIEW 8.0 Upgrade Notes to familiarize yourself with the differences between the 7.1 and 8.x LabVIEW environments.
- The DSP Module now uses LabVIEW projects and the Project Explorer window to help you manage and implement the components of a DSP application.
- Palette items are now organized according to categories. Custom palette views are no longer supported.
- You must create a DSP project before you can build, download, and run DSP applications.
- When you upgrade DSP VIs to work with DSP Module 2.5, you can no longer use them with the DSP Module 1.0.
- You must now add Elemental I/O items to the Project Explorer window before you can use Elemental I/O Nodes in a DSP VI.
