Use the Embedded Signal Generation VIs to generate different types of single and multitone signals, function generator signals, and noise signals.

Palette ObjectDescription
EMB Binomial Noise WaveformGenerates a binomially-distributed pseudorandom pattern whose values are the number of occurrences of an event given the probability of that event occurring and the number of trials.
EMB Constant GeneratorGenerates a constant DC waveform.
EMB Cosine GeneratorGenerates a cosine waveform.
EMB Gamma Noise WaveformGenerates a pseudorandom pattern of values, which are the waiting times to the order number event of a unit mean Poisson process.
EMB Impulse GeneratorGenerates an array containing an impulse pattern.
EMB Poisson Noise WaveformGenerates a pseudorandom sequence of values which are the number of discrete events occurring in the interval specified by mean of a unit rate Poisson process.
EMB Ramp PatternGenerates an array containing a ramp pattern.
EMB Sawtooth WaveformGenerates a waveform containing a sawtooth wave.
EMB Sinc PatternGenerates an array containing a sinc pattern.
EMB Sine WaveformGenerates a waveform containing a sine wave.
EMB Square WaveformGenerates a waveform containing a square wave.
EMB Triangle WaveformGenerates a waveform containing a triangle wave.
EMB Uniform White Noise WaveformGenerates a uniformly distributed pseudorandom pattern whose values are in the range [–a:a], where a is the absolute value of amplitude.
Frequency Sweep GeneratorGenerates a sweeping sine waveform.
Simulate SignalSimulates a sine wave, square wave, triangle wave, sawtooth wave, or noise (DC) signal.
