LabVIEW saves labs that you create or customize to the My Labs directory on the hard disk. By default, LabVIEW creates the My Labs directory in the C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\My Documents\LabVIEW Data\ directory, where <user> is the login account running LabVIEW.

Tip Tip  You can change the location of the My Labs directory.

Complete the following steps to open a previously customized and saved lab.

  1. Select My Labs from the Open Saved Lab pull-down menu and click the Go button in the Open Saved Lab section of the Lesson Manager window.
  2. Select a lab to open in the dialog box that appears and click the OK button. You can browse to a different location if the lab you want to open is not in the My Labs directory.

When you open a lab through the Open Saved Lab section of the Lesson Manager window, LabVIEW opens the Project Explorer window for the lab. If the main application VI has the same name as the project, LabVIEW also opens the front panel window of the VI. Otherwise, you must double-click the VI in the Project Explorer window to open the VI.

Note Note  If you open a lab that runs on the target device, you might have to expand the target device item in the Project Explorer window to see the VI you want to open.
