Creating a Project Using the DSP Project Wizard (DSP Module)

Complete the following steps to use the DSP Project Wizard to create a new DSP project.

  1. From the Getting Started window, select DSP Project under the Targets pull-down menu.
  2. Click the Go button to open the DSP Project Wizard.
Tip  You also can click New to open the New dialog box. Then select DSP Project under Project»Project from Wizard and click the OK button to open the DSP Project Wizard.
  1. Define the project information.
    1. Select the type of project you are creating from the Project type drop-down list. You can create a project with a blank VI or you can use an existing VI.
    2. Browse to and select the path to the DSP VI you want to use in the project if you want to create a project with an existing VI.
  2. Click the Next button.
  3. Select a DSP target from the Target type pull-down menu.
  4. Place a checkmark in the analog and digital input/output checkboxes if you want to use the I/O resources on a DSP target.
Tip  By default, the wizard adds all the resources available to the target. You can remove the checkmarks from any of the input/output resources checkboxes that you do not need.
  1. Click the Finish button.

The project now appears in the Project Explorer window. Expand the DSP target and double-click the VI under the DSP target to open the VI.
