Use the Mathematics VIs to perform many different kinds of mathematical analysis. You also can interface real-world measurements to the mathematical algorithms in order to obtain practical solutions.

Note  Many Mathematics VIs are available only in the LabVIEW Full and Professional Development Systems. If you have the LabVIEW Base Package, you do not have the full set of the Mathematics VIs described in this help file. A subset of the Mathematics VIs is available in the LabVIEW Base Package.

Subpalette	Description
Differential Equations VIs	Use the Differential Equations VIs to solve ordinary differential equations.
Elementary & Special Functions and VIs	Use the Elementary & Special Functions and VIs to evaluate common mathematical functions.
Fitting VIs	Use the Fitting VIs to perform curve fitting analysis or regression.
Geometry VIs	Use the Geometry VIs to manipulate coordinates and angles.
Integ & Diff VIs	Use the Integ & Diff VIs to perform integration and differentiation procedures.
Interp & Extrap VIs	Use the Interp & Extrap VIs to perform 1D and 2D interpolation, piecewise interpolation, polynomial interpolation, and Fourier interpolation.
Linear Algebra VIs	Use the Linear Algebra VIs to perform matrix-related computations and analysis.
Numeric Functions	Use the Numeric functions to create and perform arithmetic and complex mathematical operations on numbers and to convert numbers from one data type to another. Use the VIs and functions on the Elementary and Special Functions and VIs palette to perform trigonometric and logarithmic functions.
Optimization VIs	Use the Optimization VIs to determine local minima and maxima of real 1D or n-dimension functions.
Polynomial VIs	Use the Polynomial VIs to perform calculations and evaluations with polynomials.
Probability and Statistics VIs	Use the Probability and Statistics VIs to perform probability, descriptive statistics, analysis of variance, and interpolation functions.
Scripts & Formulas VIs	Use the Scripts & Formulas VIs to evaluate mathematical formulae and expressions on the block diagram.
