Localized versions of LabVIEW use the same executable as the U.S. version. Therefore, localized versions are compatible with the U.S. version.

The following table shows compatibility between LabVIEW versions. The indicates that the 5.0.x, 5.1.x, and 6.0.x version headings can load that specific version of LabVIEW. The indicates that the 5.0.x and 5.1.x version headings cannot load that specific version of LabVIEW unless you select File»Save for Previous Version. The indicates that you must buy a conversion kit to convert the VI to LabVIEW 4.0, then open the VI in LabVIEW 6.0.
