	x can be a 16-, 32-, or 64-bit integer, or an array or cluster of those representations.
	hi(x) and lo(x) are integers that are half the width of x. hi(x) and lo(x) are 8-bit, 16-bit, or 32-bit unsigned integers, respectively, or an array or cluster of those representations.
