The importance of integrating analysis libraries into engineering stations is that the raw data, as shown in the following figure, does not always immediately convey useful information. Often, you must transform the signal, remove noise disturbances, correct for data corrupted by faulty equipment, or compensate for environmental effects, such as temperature and humidity.

By analyzing and processing the digital data, you can extract the useful information from the noise and present it in a form more comprehensible than the raw data, as shown in the following figure.

The LabVIEW block diagram programming approach and the extensive set of LabVIEW Signal Processing VIs, Mathematics VIs, and Measurement I/O VIs and functions simplify the development of analysis applications.

Note  You can use the Signal Processing VIs only in the LabVIEW Full and Professional Development Systems.
