Select Tools»Find VIs on Disk to display this window.
Use this window to search for a VI by filename in a directory.
This window includes the following components:
- Directory to search—Directory in which you want to search for VIs by filename. LabVIEW also searches for VIs in any subdirectories.
- Filenames to search for—Text for which you want to search in VI filenames. Use an asterisk wildcard (*) to match zero or more arbitrary characters.
- Search inside LLB files—Specifies whether to search VI filenames inside LLBs. Remove the checkmark from this checkbox to exclude the VIs inside LLBs.
- Search Results—Displays the matching VI filenames as LabVIEW finds them.
- Open Selected VIs—Opens the selected VIs. You also can double-click a search result to open the VI. Press the <Ctrl> key and click additional search results to select more than one result. Press the <Shift> key and click a search result above or below the current result to select all results in between the current result and the second result you selected.
- Searching—Displays the directory LabVIEW is currently searching.
- Files found—Displays the total number of matching VI filenames found.
- Find—Searches the VIs in the directory you selected in the Directory to search text box for the text in the Filenames to search for text box.
- Stop—Cancels a search in progress.
