Select Tools»Options to display the Options dialog box and select Security from the Category list to display this page.

Use this page to set security options.

This page includes the following component:

Show the login prompt at LabVIEW startup time—Prompts you to log in when LabVIEW starts. Log in as a different user at any time by selecting Tools»Security»Login. This checkbox is unchecked by default.
Current shared variable engine user—Displays the name of the current user of the Shared Variable Engine.
Shared variable engine user—Configures the user that appears in the Current shared variable engine user field.
- Use anonymous user (Nobody) for connection—Sets the Current shared variable engine user to the anonymous value <Nobody>.
- Use the following user for connection—Sets the Current shared variable engine user to the user specified by User name, Password, and NI Domain.
  - User name—Specifies the name of the current Shared Variable Engine user.
  - Password—Specifies the password for the current Shared Variable Engine user.
  - NI Domain—Specifies the domain of the Current shared variable engine user.
