Double-click a Shared Variable node on a block diagram or right-click the node and select Select Variable from the shortcut menu to display this dialog box. If the active LabVIEW project does not include a shared variable, you must create a shared variable before you can access this dialog box.

Use this dialog box to select a shared variable from the active project to bind to the Shared Variable node. After you bind the Shared Variable node to a shared variable, you can wire the Shared Variable node to VIs and functions.

• Shared Variables—Lists the shared variables from the active LabVIEW project.
• Type—Indicates the scope of the shared variable you select in the Shared Variables list.
• Data Type—Indicates the data type of the shared variable you select in the Shared Variables list.
