Use this dialog box to set or change your LabVIEW user name. You can access the LabVIEW system as a different user. By default, LabVIEW logs in the system user automatically, but you can configure LabVIEW to ask for a user name on startup.

Complete the following steps to display the User Login dialog box automatically when LabVIEW starts.

1. Select Tools»Options to display the Options dialog box.
2. Select Revision History from the Category list. The revision history options appear below.
3. By default, the Operating System user name option is selected. To enable user login, select Prompt user to select at LabVIEW startup.
4. Click the OK button.
5. Shut down and restart LabVIEW.

This dialog box includes the following components:

• Username—Type your user name in the field or select your name from the drop-down list.
• Previous Users—Contains all user names that previously logged in to this installation of LabVIEW. The other option in the drop-down list is for new users who have not logged in to this installation previously. It is selected automatically when LabVIEW does not recognize the name being typed in the text box.
