Complete the following steps to add an item to an enumerated type control.

1. Use the Labeling tool to enter the name of the first item in the enumerated type control.
2. Press the <Shift-Enter> keys to advance to a new item. You also can right-click the enumerated type control and select Add Item After or Add Item Before from the shortcut menu.
3. Use the Labeling tool to enter the name of the next item.
4. Click any area outside the enumerated type control after you finish entering the item name. The numeric values of the items adjust automatically.

You also can use the Edit Items page of the Enum Properties dialog box to add items to an enumerated type control. Right-click the enumerated type control and select Edit Items from the shortcut menu to display the Edit Items page of the Enum Properties dialog box.
