By default, the x-axis is configured to use floating-point notation and have a label of Time, and the y-axis is configured to use automatic formatting and have a label of Amplitude.

Complete the following steps to change the format and precision of a graph or chart axis.

  1. Right-click the graph or chart and select Properties from the shortcut menu to display the Properties dialog box. Select the Display Format tab.
  2. Select the axis you want to configure from the Apply to pull-down menu.
  3. Select a format from the Type listbox. If the representation of the scale is floating-point, you cannot display the number as hexadecimal, octal, or binary.
  4. Use the Digits and Precision Type options to change the precision of the axis, if necessary.
  5. Click the OK button.
