VIs with a graph usually collect the data in an array and then plot the data to the graph. This process is similar to a spreadsheet that first stores the data then generates a plot of it.

Complete the following steps to create a graph.

1. Add one of the following graphs to the front panel window.
   • Waveform graph
   • XY graph
   • Digital waveform graph
   • Mixed signal graph
   • Intensity graph
2. Right-click the graph and customize it using the shortcut menu items. You can configure the x- and y-scales, format the x- and y-scales, add a plot, zoom in or out, and add cursors.
3. Build the block diagram to display data on a waveform, XY, mixed signal, or digital waveform graph.
