Complete the following steps to write to a spreadsheet file.

1. Place the Write To Spreadsheet File VI on the block diagram.
2. Create a relative path to the file to which you want to write data.
3. Wire the appended path output to the file path input of the Write To Spreadsheet File VI.
4. (Optional) Format the input string.
5. Right-click the 2D data input and select Create»Control from the shortcut menu.
6. Enter the numeric data you want to write to the file in the 2D data control.
7. Run the VI.

After you write to a spreadsheet file, read the file.
