Clearing the Object Cache

The object cache is a collection of VI object files for all VIs with separate compiled code. Complete the following steps to delete VI object files and clear the object cache.

1. Select Tools»Advanced»Clear Compiled Object Cache to display the Clear Compiled Object Cache dialog box.
2. Select the object cache you want to clear by selecting one or more target types.
3. Click the Delete button to delete VI object files in one or more object caches for the specified target types and close the dialog box.

You also can use the Clear Compiled Object Cache method to clear the object cache programmatically.
