Owning Palette: Wavelet Packet VIs

Plots the whole tree structure of the wavelet packet (WP) tree in a picture control (picture). You can show the node information of path, position, or entropy on each node of the wavelet packet tree.

Examples

	draw color specifies the color of the wavelet packet tree. text color specifies the color of the node strings. BG color specifies the background color of picture. line color specifies the color of the tree branches.
	WP session is a reference to an existing wavelet packet structure.
	display mode specifies the display mode of the node string in the decomposition tree. 0 node path—Labels the node with a string that consists of the characters 0 and 1, where 0 represents lowpass filtering, and 1 represents highpass filtering. 1 depth, pos (default)—Labels the node with the depth of the node in the tree and the position of the node in its level. The depth and the position start with 0. The depth ascends from the top to the bottom of the tree. The position ascends from the left to the right in a level. 2 entropy—Labels the node with the entropy of the node.
	draw area size specifies the size of the area in the picture control in pixels to draw the tree structure display. Wire the Draw Area Size property of picture to this control. width specifies the width of the tree structure display in pixels. height specifies the height of the tree structure display in pixels.
	error in describes error conditions that occur before this VI or function runs. The default is no error. If an error occurred before this VI or function runs, the VI or function passes the error in value to error out. This VI or function runs normally only if no error occurred before this VI or function runs. If an error occurs while this VI or function runs, it runs normally and sets its own error status in error out. Use the Simple Error Handler or General Error Handler VIs to display the description of the error code. Use error in and error out to check errors and to specify execution order by wiring error out from one node to error in of the next node. status is TRUE (X) if an error occurred before this VI or function ran or FALSE (checkmark) to indicate a warning or that no error occurred before this VI or function ran. The default is FALSE. code is the error or warning code. The default is 0. If status is TRUE, code is a nonzero error code. If status is FALSE, code is 0 or a warning code. source specifies the origin of the error or warning and is, in most cases, the name of the VI or function that produced the error or warning. The default is an empty string.
	draw offset specifies the coordinates of the left topmost pixel in picture. x offset is the x coordinate of node in picture. y offset is the y coordinate of node in picture.
	WP session out contains a reference to an existing wavelet packet structure, which this VI can modify.
	tree plot is the picture control that displays the tree structure.
	node info contains the position of each node in the wavelet packet tree and the associated location in picture. node contains the indexes of a node with respect to depth and position. depth is the depth of the node, that is, its level in the tree. position is the position of the node in its level. location contains the coordinates of node in picture. x is the x-coordinate of node in picture. y is the y-coordinate of node in picture.
	error out contains error information. If error in indicates that an error occurred before this VI or function ran, error out contains the same error information. Otherwise, it describes the error status that this VI or function produces. Right-click the error out front panel indicator and select Explain Error from the shortcut menu for more information about the error. status is TRUE (X) if an error occurred or FALSE (checkmark) to indicate a warning or that no error occurred. code is the error or warning code. If status is TRUE, code is a nonzero error code. If status is FALSE, code is 0 or a warning code. source describes the origin of the error or warning and is, in most cases, the name of the VI or function that produced the error or warning.
