Owning Palette: Wavelet Packet VIs
Installed With: Advanced Signal Processing Toolkit
Plots the whole tree structure of the wavelet packet (WP) tree in a picture control (picture). You can show the node information of path, position, or entropy on each node of the wavelet packet tree.

![]() |
draw color specifies the color of the wavelet packet tree.

![]() |
WP session is a reference to an existing wavelet packet structure.
![]() |
display mode specifies the display mode of the node string in the decomposition tree.

![]() |
draw area size specifies the size of the area in the picture control in pixels to draw the tree structure display. Wire the Draw Area Size property of picture to this control.

error in describes error conditions that occur before this VI or function runs.
The default is no error. If an error occurred before this VI or function runs, the VI or function passes the error in value to error out. This VI or function runs normally only if no error occurred before this VI or function runs. If an error occurs while this VI or function runs, it runs normally and sets its own error status in error out. Use the Simple Error Handler or General Error Handler VIs to display the description of the error code. Use error in and error out to check errors and to specify execution order by wiring error out from one node to error in of the next node.

![]() |
draw offset specifies the coordinates of the left topmost pixel in picture.
| ||||||||||||
![]() |
WP session out contains a reference to an existing wavelet packet structure, which this VI can modify.
![]() |
tree plot is the picture control that displays the tree structure.
![]() |
node info contains the position of each node in the wavelet packet tree and the associated location in picture.

error out contains error information. If error in indicates that an error occurred before this VI or function ran, error out contains the same error information. Otherwise, it describes the error status that this VI or function produces.
Right-click the error out front panel indicator and select Explain Error from the shortcut menu for more information about the error.
